In addition to world-renowned hair transplant surgeries, Wolf Medical also provides non-surgical hair restoration options. We recommend these treatments for those who are not ideal candidates for surgery. In addition, these treatments may be an excellent complement for surgery patients.

Check out the pages below to find out which hair restoration treatment makes most sense for you:

  • Finasteride (Propecia®) – Finasteride, commonly known as Propecia, is an oral prescription medication used to treat male pattern hair loss by inhibiting the production of a hormone that impedes hair growth. It typically takes at least three months to show results, with improvements often seen within 12 months. The medication is intended for men and is not suitable for women. Consistent use is necessary to maintain hair regrowth and prevent further hair loss. Wolf Medical prescribes finasteride to patients as appropriate.
  • Minoxidil (Rogaine®) – Minoxidil, a topical treatment, is used to combat hair loss by stimulating hair follicles and increasing blood flow to the scalp. It is effective for both men and women, typically showing results within 4 to 6 months of consistent use. Continued application is necessary to maintain hair regrowth, as stopping the treatment can lead to hair loss resuming.
  • Laser Hair Regrowth – Laser hair regrowth therapy uses low-level laser light to stimulate hair follicles, promoting hair growth by increasing blood flow and cellular activity in the scalp. This non-invasive treatment is suitable for both men and women, and it is often recommended as part of a comprehensive hair restoration plan. Consistent sessions are needed for optimal results, and it can be combined with other treatments like Minoxidil or Finasteride.
  • Platelet Rich Plasma – Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is a non-surgical treatment that uses a patient’s own blood to promote hair growth. The blood is processed to concentrate platelets, which are then injected into the scalp to stimulate hair follicles and encourage new hair growth. PRP is often used in conjunction with other hair restoration treatments and requires multiple sessions for optimal results.
  • Scalp Micropigmentation – Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is a non-surgical procedure that creates the appearance of fuller hair by applying tiny pigments to the scalp, mimicking hair follicles. It is a suitable option for individuals with thinning hair, scars, or bald spots, offering a natural-looking solution that can enhance hair density and restore confidence. SMP is a semi-permanent treatment, and its effects can last several years with proper care.
